BOBBY MATTICK AUTOGRAPHED ORIGINAL BURKE PHOTO MINT CONDITION Considered the Premier Baseball photographer of his era , photo has the BURKE studio stamp on reverse measures 4x6 and is heavy stock double weight photographers paper with a mat finish. Originates from the collection of former Major League pitcher VERN OLSEN who pitched for the 1939-1942 Chicago Cubs. This photo was signed in 1940. Robert James Mattick (December 5, 1915 – December 16, 2004) was a shortstop, manager and scout in Major League Baseball, most notably in the Toronto Blue Jays organization.Bobby played only one season as a regular with the Chicago Cubs in 1940, although he played for the Cubs from 1938 to 1940 and the Cincinnati Reds in 1941 and 1942.
