Dear bidders, I have cancelled my previous auction #190092068780 due to threatening and abusive emails from the seller and an individual claiming to be the owner of a similar item from a closed E-bay auction. I have relisted my Boeing 247 model in order to meet their demands that I revise my listing to not reference the auction number of their item. I have also Added a Buy-It-Now option for $3000 that several bidders requested. I apologise to the bidders and watchers that this relisting has inconvenienced. I used to really enjoy buying and selling on E-Bay, and have corresponded with many nice and knowledgeable fellow collectors of travel agency airliner and manufacturer's display models. E-bay is just not fun anymore. Metal United Airlines Boeing 247 travel agency manufacturer's display model made by A.C. Rehberger in the 1930's. Refer to United Airlines website history page /page/article/0,6722,2297,00.html for additional history of these models. Wingspan is 22.25" and overall length is 15.5". The original silver plating is very worn as photos show. Aluminum stand is not original. This version of the model has fixed landing gear. One landing gear, tail wheel, and radio antenna mast and the mounting plate were missing and have been restored with pieces machined from brass by a master restorer: see photos. Casting appears to be
