For reasons of lack of space, I'm forced to downsize my huge collection of airliner models. In doing this, over the next time a massive lot of very rare (old) and valuable airliner models in excellent condition will show up on ebay - and I invite you check out the new items on ebay on a regular basis. Today for sale is a very beautiful vintage Boeing B-737-200 TAP Transportes Aéreos Protugueses in its delivery c olour scheme; the scale exactly 1/50 . This model has been made by the well-known Dutch model manufacturer Verkuyl well back in the beginning of the 1960ies, so this bird is in its 50ies now and still looking very respectable ! Data of the model: Lenght of the model: 36.6 inches (93 cm) Wingspan: 34.6 inches (88 cm) Weight: more than 10 kgs - 20 lbs So definitly a heavy and huge bird ! Registration of the model: CS-TBZ. The general condition of the model truly can be described as very respectable for its age, in particular to mention are some scratches (nicely touched up) in the fuselage area w the wings meet the fuselage section and some other scratches in the upper part of the fuselage - touched up (see pics). T is the usual yellowing of the upper part of the fuselage, but not too bad for a model of this age. Otherwise, the model appears to be 100 % authentic, with only a very few scratches which do not harm the overall impression. Beside the mentioned touch-up of the nose all decals are in place and and definitly good-looking for age. The bird is absolutely authentic and it sits nicely on its original Verkuyl "TAP" stand. I have to point out that the "TAP" version of the Verkuyl B-707 is much rarer by far in comparison to the Lufthansa colour scheme ! The famous Dutch model maker M. Verkuyl is well-known for being very accurate : The making of the model is definitly excellent - comparing a Verkuyl B-707 is a sharp contrast to B-707 from other manufacturers, it reveals major differences, with regard to correct scale (the Verkuyl is exact 1/50), the mould of the engines is absolutely to the real thing and other details, as engarved fine lines on the wings, cargo and passenger doors, etc. This model gives you definitly a very fine example of a well-built metal replica of a B-707 in the "king-size" scale 1/50 ! In relation to the value, please observe the very reasonable starting price (and that t is no reserve price) on this model. Shipping: Basically, I charge a very moderate shipping and handling rate (the later just only for quality packing material, as I'm a private person and do not have such material on hand) based strictly on the fees of Austrian Post, which includes air-mail service (cheaper standard parcel on request), and registration An insurance covering the risk of loss and damage for up to Euro 500 (approx.
