A 1902 BOER WAR .303 BANDOLIER BOUGHT IN BY THE ULSTER VOLUNTEER FORCE This is a very nice Bandolier which were originally issued to the British Army during the Boer War. It still retains its original "steady strap " to prevent it moving which is very rare. It has its makers name stamped onto the strap which is difficult to make out ?ONS and SONS LONDON, 1902. The back of the main belt has the name A. ASPINAL scraped into the leather which I assume was its original owner. The opposite end of the rear of the main belt has I UVF SCOTT also scraped into the leather. It is still in very good condition with all its stitching intact along with its fastening straps. These Bandoliers were sold off by the British after the Boer War and then purchased by the UVF during the Home Rule Crisis in 1912 - 1914. AN EXCELLENT CHANCE TO OWN A DUAL PIECE OF HISTORY
