Highest Expressions of Excellence, Sankaat makes it happen! Being presented for your consideration is this Finely Crafted Czech Opaque, Green and Cleared Cased Cut Glass Decanter and Glasses! The Bohemian Glassblowers have held a tradition of glassblowing which is only superceded in history and popularity by the artisans working on the island of Murano in Italy. Nevertheless, the Bohemian crafters introduced and made popular certain varieties of glass discovered through their experiementation with glass and made possible only their their generations of experience. Cased cut glass was made popular during the 19th century (though it predates that period by quite some time). Cased glass was created by blowing glass within layers of other different colored glass, so that when the piece would be cut it would expose the different colors trapped beneath the surface. This fine decanter and glass set has been cut with panels, which have been decorated with nicely enameled flowers and acceneted by gilding (gilt scrolls and border lines). The decanter measures 14 inches tall (including stopper) and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. With NO CLOUDING, CHIPS, NICKS OR CRACKS! The four glasses measure 4.25 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide and are in excellent condition with very minimal wear to the gilding (no chips, and only one small pinhead size nick to the rim of the glass). This set would be ideal for use over the upcoming holiday season.
