is a BEAUTIFUL Bohlin sterling and 14K John Wayne hat band with ranger style buckle set. This includes the buckle, keeper and tip in three color gold (the flowers are in rose gold, the vines and leaves are in green gold, and the twisted rope trim is in yellow gold). The flowers are all set with rubies, and t are eight (8) flower and leaf designs surrounding the circumference of the hat band. The piece is in MINT condition. This piece is highly engraved as well. A VERY RARE PIECE INDEED!! The band is marked "Edward H. Bohlin HOLLYWOOD CAL. STERLING 14K" and features the initials "A.K." which stand for Ahmad Khan, one of the last of the great Bohlin silversmiths from the old shop in Hollywood and Burbank. The buckle itself is also marked "BOHLIN MADE Sterling 14K A.K." The amount of work that went into making this piece is indescribable. I called Mr. Khan to ask him the value of this piece, and he told me that if he were to make this piece again, it would cost about $6,500. NOW, IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD COST TO HAVE THE BOHLIN COMPANY MAKE ONE!!! This piece is simply elegant, CLASSIC BOHLIN. It doesn't get better than this.
