The Applegate-Fairbairn Boot Knife, Boker model #120546 (Used to be #AF-546). This pure fighting knife was designed in 1943 by Col. Rex Applegate and W.E. Fairbairn while working together training O.S.S. instructors.Features: 9" overall length, 4-3/4" blade. Double edge dagger blade is made of 440C stainless steel, Rockwell 58 HRC. Non-reflective, satin finished blade is etched with Rex Applegate and W.E. Fairbairn signatures. Blade is tang stamped with the Boker tree logo and BOKER SOLINGEN on one side, GERMANY 440-C STAINLESS on the other. Injection molded nylon handle is ergonomically shaped and molded with ridges and grooves for an extremely secure grip. It also has steel weights positioned inside for proper balance. Brass double finger guard. This knife is now supplied with a new, slimmer Kydex sheath.
