You are looking at RARE New & Unused Set of 3 Pocket Knives from BOKER TREE BRAND KNIVES MINERS COMMEMORATIVE SET Date of Issue 1975. Card inside reads: This is a "Collector's Edition" and only a limited number of these valuable sets have been produced. This matched set of Boker Tree Brand Knives has been specially designed and created to honor those men who have contributed so much toward making America a great industrail power. Each of there three beautiful knives in this set commemorates one of the important events in the history of the American Coal Miner; "Birth of a Union", "The Beginning" and "Struggle to Organize." A specially designed emblem, on the knife handle, graphically portrays in gleaming brass, one of these memorable events. Corresponding with each emblem is a description of the event, beautifully etched in gold on the master blade. These "Miner's Commemorative Knives" have been hand-tooled by mastercraftsman. Blades have been created from the highest quality cutlery steel...bolsters lining and pins are made of gleaming brass, and the sturdy handsome handles are constructed from rich dark Derlin. These magnificent pocket knives are set within a handsome walnut-finish presentation case that is fitted with polished brass plated hinges, corner trim and protective latch.
