Description: This is an outstanding Bordjalou Kazak rug from Caucasus Mountains.The Bordjalou district is famous for its silky wool, high quality weaves and varietyof colors. There is date at upper right side of the rug including four small medallions at open field pattern with white and green running dog borders with serrated accompanying borders enclose the piece. The date is 1313 and in western calendar is around 1895. You should know that the antique Kazak rug at this category and design is not easy to find. Offering here is one of the most beautiful Kazak rugs that come with gorgeous and colorful design in fantastic shape. Madder red, jewel green, variation of blue, very nice yellow, dark natural brown, white and ivory make this outstanding rug so gorgeous, powerful and attractive. Of course all colors are natural and vegetal dyes. This rug is in great condition for its age and certainly it has around 1 inch old restoration at lower side of the rug, which is really hard to find from back and front. Rug is in full pilling all over with both ends and selvages are complete. Brown at some places is oxidized. The size of this village rug is: 4'-8"x3'-5". The wool of this rug is absolutely soft, shiny. Rug is offered at very reasonable price, so keep bidding on that with confidence. This is a rare small Kazak Caucasian mountain rug and would make a great addition for the collector and tribal art lovers.
