Bomb Strike Photos - Vigenano, Italy 9/4/44 Description From the estate of a bombardier who flew in B-26 Marauders with the 17th Bomb Group came this set of original photographs. They are the bomb strike photos of a mission against Railroad and Road Bridges in Vigenano, Italy on 4 September 1944. T are two 10 X 10 inch photos and five more that are a bit smaller, each marked at the top with 17 B.G.,the date, and the target. Alll have yellowed a bit - some more than others. T is a mimeographed mission sheet that lists the squadrons, aircraft tail numbers, and the pilot's names. An exceptional bit of WWII aviation history with no reserve.
