Bone Handle Rondel dagger with damascus blade The Rondel dagger is one of the most popular daggers types to be shown in images of the Middle ages, getting it's name from the round or octagonal pommel and guard. It was carried by a variety of people from merchants to knights from the 14th century onward. It was worn at the waist and might be used as a utility tool, or worn into battle or a jousting tournament as a side arm. As such a popular side arm, t are many variations that were used.This beautiful rondel design dagger has a really lovely birds eye damascus blade. The slim bone handle is carved in a circular pattern that mirrors the steel circular rondel pommel and guard. Sheath is leather with a loop for a belt. Blade length is appx. 10 inches, total length is 14 inches. Dagger is not sharp as shipped, but can be sharpened. New, no problems. NO RESERVE We are International shipping experts!
