LIGHT BLUE Floral Micro-Mosaic & BONE Flower Brooch Handmade in Italy! 1.4" wide by 0.75" tall This is a NO RESERVE Auction!! You are bidding on a rare micro-mosaic BROOCH in a hand-carved BONE SETTING. This gorgeously colored mosaic has a LIGHT BLUE background with a black and white triangular patterned border. The central flowers are in delicate but penetrating pink, peach and red colors. This brooch is very special because of the INTRICATELY HAND-CARVED BONE SETTING, and because of the EXCELLENT CONDITION! I RARELY see other antique Italian mosaics set in bone, and my antique surplus represents some of the few micro-mosaics like this around (check for yourself on-line!). This particular piece is in AMAZING condition for a mosaic that is at least 60, and probably closer to 100 years-old: bright colors, no chips or cracks - and NO missing tiles!! Like almost all my Italian surplus jewelry, THIS MOSAIC HAS BEEN SITTING CAREFULLY PACKED IN A BOX FOR DECADES AND WAS NEVER WORN! T is some natural aging on the reverse of the setting - that's it. Please see pictures for details.I want to emphasize, one more time, that the CONDITION of this bone mosaic is VERY SPECIAL. ALL of the micro-mosaic bone carvings that I have seen listed for sale in the recent past have had MAJOR CRACKS (often disguised or filled) or filthy darkening/discoloration
