This auction is for an AUTHENTIC Pre-columbian Tairona culture Bone Necklace Provenance: Santa Marta, Columbia Cir. 1000 AD Necklace measures: 19 inches (restrung on a sterling silver chain) Tairona is a recently discovered lost city. It flourished in Colombia and Central America 1500 years ago. By the time the Spaniards arrived, the Taironas had been a highly developed society for over 500 years. They lived in a richly symbolic world, and this artefact is one such manifestatioon.
