Book Cadillac Hotel Detroit China 1924 Hutschenreuther Cobalt Dinner Plate. Plate is 9 3/8" in diameter These pieces were made for the Historic Book Cadillac hotel in downtown Detroit in 1924. It is our understanding that this was the finest china at the hotel at the time and reserved for special banquts and VIP guests and is much more rare than the "Robin hood" patterned china that was used daily in the dinning room. The pieces are stamped on the back: Royal Bavarian China Hutschereuther Selb Bavaria Made in 1924 for the Book Cadillac Furnished by Albert Pick & Co., Chicago In amazing condition. Pieces look barely used. A few pieces have a few very very light utensil marks. The gold trim and decoration is in great condition. Considering these pieces are nearly 90 years, old the overall condition is incredible. SHIPPING METHOD: We are experienced shippers and each item is very carefully wrapped for safe shipping.
