Condition: Excellent. Comments: Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel (1881 Wunsiedel, Upper Franconia, Germany - 1965 Vienna). Austrian painter, printmaker, graphic designer, illustrator and designer in Vienna. Studied from 1896 at the Munich School of Applied Arts, from 1899 at the Munich Academy of Arts under C. Griepenkerl. 1902-1903 at the Vienna School of Applied Arts under Alfred Roller, 1905 again at the Munich academy, 1906-1907 at the Vienna Academy of Arts under William Unger. From 1911 teaching at the Frankfurt School of Applied Arts. Due to his Jewish descent Jungnickel emigrated in 1938 to Split and later toAbbazia, Istria, both in Croatia. Remigrated to Vienna in 1952.
