Striking and beautifully detailed very rare copper engraved regional chart of Borbonnais, a historic province in the centre of France that corresponded to the modern département of Allier, along with part of the département of Cher . Map includes the cities of Nevers, Borbon-Lancy, Moulins, Vichy, Montlucon. etc. Map is filled with a lot of topographical and geographical details. This is a very rare edition of this regional chart of France published by Melchior Tavernier and based on the same chart by Willhelm and Joan Blaeu. Map filled with large decorative title cartouche embellished with coat of arms and decorative mileage cartouche. Map without text to the background.
