I am selling my Longwy collection as I am emmigrating and will be offering fourteen pieces which I have been collecting over the past twelve years. This is a stunning French majolica Bordeaux J. Vieillard Longwy style floral decorated vase dating from around 1900. The vase has a cloisonne effect moulded floral design hand coloured in bright enamels against a bergundy background. It has the customary painted marks to the base as shown and would be a great example for the discerning collector or someone who wants to start their collection! Maker & Origin French made at Bordeaux J. Vieillard with various painted and pressed marks to the base of the vase as shown Date Circa 1900 Size Diameter 7.5cm across the base height 8cm and the top is 4.5cm Condition The vase is offered in excellent overall condition with slight wearing of the black around the rim, as shown in the photographs) but this does not detract from the beauty of this - without restoration. A stunning example to add to any serious collection!
