Border Fine Arts Figurine Fox with Chipmunk Recent estate find. Measures approximately 4-5/8” long and 3-1/8” tall. The back edge is signed Ayres and marked BFA Scotland. The underside still has the BFA sticker, but the sticker is noticeably worn, dulled and discolored from table wear. I do not have the box. The top edges of the fox’s ears look to have a minor amount of soft rubbing wear (loss of color, white showing, no damage to surface). His nose looks a little crude. Either way, it’s a minor issue. The underside edge, beneath the fox’s rear, has an absolutely inconspicuous 1.5mm nick or bite. The chipmunk has a tiny speck of white rubbing wear on the tip of one ear, and the end of his tail has a few specks of white. None of this wear is evident. I’m just trying my hardest to be picky. When I was studying the figure with a magnifying loupe, I noticed that many of the tight spots were definitely in need of a detailed cleaning. The felt on the underside is worn, dulled and discolored (table wear). All is well represented in the photos that I have provided, so please look to them to best judge what you read more
