BORSALINO ALLESANDRIA - Open Road style - OPTIMO-cleaned - Tagged 7 3/8, but just under 58cm Beautiful silver-belly (light gray) Open-Road Style Borsalino hat, extremely soft felt, could date from the 1940's to early 1960's. The sweatband is the lighter brown color of the older Borsalinos, but the serial number is '3038 65419', so I don't know. I sent this hat to Optimo for a cleaning, and despite it being a little small for me (57.75cm), I did not want the leather sweatband removed, so they did not re-size. I saved the original tag that has the serial number and also '7 3/8', but it's clearly smaller than that. It looks really amazing! It has the corrogation along the sweatband at the front to keep seat off the felt, and the stitching is sound except for some separation at the back (see close-up). CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES ONLY (no islands, etc.). This is VERY IMPORTANT: Your Paypal address must be CONFIRMED and your account VERIFIED. Payment must be received by Tuesday following auction end, in order to ship prior to my vacation; otherwise, you have a two-week wait (sorry about that!).
