A classic Boss DR-660 digital drum machine. The one Squarepusher used. The built in rhythms are very early 90s for a bit of nostalgia. But the built in effects and the sound editing capabilities make it extremely flexible. I think this is the first Boss drum machine with bass samples, so you can create an entire rhythm track with just one hardback book sized lump of plastic. The samples include 808 and 909 sets (the 808 kick is a bit lacking, but cowbell!) and according to a random piece of research it was designed by the legendary Roger Linn, which means it's at least as good as all the other things he's designed and released under someone else's name. According to the same bit of research this track /watch?v=3VZ-Awki-GU was made entirely on a 660. Except for the voice, obviously.This one's in good nick. I've hardly used it to be honest. I've replaced the backup battery recently. All pads are nice an snappy, dials work and the LCD is a little dim but entirely legible.Posted with eBay Mobile
