I bought this recently to use with bass. Its a lovely piece of kit (works well with guitar and vocals) but loses bottom end on bass (a fairly standard 'problem' with flangers I gather). I have decided to stick with my EH Small Stone so this beauty is now surplus. The RBF-10 is an analogue stereo flanger from the Micro Rack range by Boss, made in Japan in the 1980s. It is an excellent analogue Flanger which can be footswitched on and off with an optional latching footswitch (Not supplied). I have given it a good clean and blow-out and most of the circuitry's stamped 'Roland' - Boss is their 'junior' brand. Pots are crackle free. It runs on a 9v power supply (not included) and can be linked to a second unit (see instructions for ampage etc). Boss also made a rack adapter unit (I've seen one recently on Ebay) that will take two units and slot into a 1U rack space.Condition is good for age - scuffs and wear and tear - but no damage and the unit works perfectly.Instructions included.By creatively using the controls, many different sound effects ranging from an intense jet-like whoosh to a pleasant chorus type sound to vibrato may be produced.CONTROLSMANUAL: For selecting the center frequency of the flanging effect. Set it to best match your instrument's tonal characteristics.RATE: For adjusting the speed of the flanging effect. Turn clock read more
