Rare Boston Argand Center Lamp, Antique This is a extremely rare Boston Argand lamp with a cut glass top. The lamp is signed John B. Jones, Boston. The lamp measures 22 inches in height, 8 inch diameter base, 18 inches from arm to arm. The lamp has been electrified at one time however the center oil valve switch is still intact. The base has the original gold striped gilding around it and it is very clean and pronounced. The top has a very rare crystal center piece which i believe the oil may have been stored in. We took a lot of pictures to give you a good idea of the age, quality and condition so please check them all out. The shades might be 1940s in age but are still of excellent quality. The shades have 3 inch fitters which are just a little to wide for the holders which probably would be suited better with a 2.75 inch fitters. The shades measure 8.5 inches in height. Winning bidder is to include $ 50 for shipping and handling in the continental United States, please email for rates outside this area. _______________________________________ We are always offering a number of items on Ebay every week.
