UP FOR AUCTION, WE OFFER RUNNING THE BRITISH BLOCKADE 1812 A fine early vintage and genuine antique hand written document dated April 8, 1812 ., two large pages nicely written that lists a number of vessels and their cargo. Each vessel named as to the type, such as "Brig", "Schooners", etc. The cargo each had on board and was being unloaded at Boston. Document written on both sides and shows the person or persons that is receiving the cargo and how much they are paying. There are a large number of cases of rum, gin, tea, wines, shoes, etc, etc. and items from the Orient being unloaded., other items showing that this ship traded in the East and West Indies, with large amount of tobacco unloaded, including chocolate. These were busy vessels in from the southern states and West Indies and other ports. A large amount of needed supplies for the navy and the merchants of Boston. ~~~PAUL REVERE has received a large load of copper from the Schooner Resolution., a clock maker received 7 boxes of clock dials The capture of this ship would have given the British a huge amount of badly needed stores and prize money..however, the ships slipped through and landed safely at Boston. Document measures about 10 x 14", never folded , and will be carefully packed and shipped flat. No defects, no odors . Quite a scarce item from the beginnings
