Rare Fire Alarm, marked "City of Boston Schoolhouse Dept, To Call Fire Department Break The Glass Pull Lever Way Down And Let Go", on the interior is "Pat. Applied For Sub Target Gun Co.". The Sub Target Gun Company of Boston made a markmanship training devise called 'Sub Target' which was a complex mechanism that apparently did not sell well because of the cost. The information I have found is that the company was in operation about 1904-1909,but I am not positive if company continued in operation after c.1909. The alarm is mostly cast iron, with some brass ( & glass),approx 9.5" wide and 4.5" deep. The 'hammer' to break glass is still attached, has 6 wires (electrical) entering the side.Unsure of working condition, the case is in good condition. No Reserve.Thanks.
