This is a super little folk art Bottle Whimsey. T is a handcarved wooden chair with a red, white, and blue string seat bottom on it. T is a wooden stopper with a locking cross piece also. It has two paper tags inside that are each taped with clear tape to the inside of the bottle. Obviously done by the maker before the bottle was sealed with the stopper. One tag reads: By R. C. Axton Elk City Okla. "Queen of the West" and the other reads: JEFF WALLENTIN. I suppose Mr. Axton made it for Mr. Wallentin. It is very rare to find these old bottle whimseys that are signed by the maker and the person who received it. It is in great condition and stands 7.75" tall including the wooden stopper. I am listing another bottle whimsey by the same maker tonight so check it out too. Thanks
