Spring Flowers Vintage Chenille (perfect for wearing Easter Sunday) Vintage chenille offers the most unique textures and colors. I've been creating chenille bibs for infants and toddlers for over 9 years. They withstand hundreds of trips through the washer and dryer and still look as beautiful as the day they were created. I started thinking... since my bibs work so well for little ones, why not make gorgeous upcycled vintage chenille aprons? This apron is repurposed by starting with an elegant 100% cotton vintage chenille bedspread. It is so unique! I love the two toned blue tufted accents but the real eye catcher is the gorgeous group of Spring Colored flowers. This is soooooo soft & pretty.
Just glancing at this from the front, it looks like a dress. This would make a wonderful "necessary accessory" for women in nursing homes. It would also keep clothing underneath protected while "eating on the run" in your car. It ties at the base of the back and it slips over the head for easy on, easy off. The edges of the chenille have been professionally finished. The chenille does have a couple of small areas of minor imperfections w t's missing tufting. As we all get older, we all develop... not what I want to call blemishes but rather ~ personality :) I think it gives each apron it's own personality plus we are able to give vintage chenille bedspreads a second life instead of throwing them away. Let's go green, recycle these bedspreads by wearing an upcycled chenille apron by HartwellDesigns.
Don't worry about getting anything on this apron, I've always had excellent results washing chenille and all of the stains coming out (like I mentioned, I've been making chenille bibs for a long time and they stayed beautiful with no stains).
