Please to look closely/carefully at the pictures and to read the "Conditions" blurb above. You are bidding on/buying a "Box-O-Rocks". You will receive a U.S.P.S. Small Flat Rate Box Full "O" Rocks, box has about 4 Lbs. of stones give or take an ounce or two. You will receive the Rocks shown in the pictures. They are pretty much Beach Run (a representative selection of the local Aggregates). You will find some Petrified Wood, Jasper, Carnelian, a few Oregon Blues and Fortification & Banded pattern Agates included. The Agates are mostly whole rocks In a variety of sizes that were tumbled together, but there may be a couple or so of thin cut slabs that got in the wrong batch mixed. While not all are real gems, there are some very good Pendant/ring/or earring sets in them. They also would be great additions to your Terrarium or Potted Plant/Floral Arrangements. These Agates are from the Central Oregon Coast and are relentlessly pursued & prized by Rock Hunters when it is in "The Season". Most of the "Great Beaches" that have the Gravel Deposits/Beds containing these Agates only become clear of the sand overburden good enough to find decent quantities once or twice every decade or so (usually in late Winter or Early Spring). This is because it takes a lot of very strong storms coming from different directions to clear the overburden off of the Beaches depending on the lay of the Beach. These storms sometimes have to remove as much 10' or more of Sand before the Gravel layer is exposed. I have lived on the Oregon Coast over 60 yrs. and have only seen some of them down to the gravel a couple of times. As the weather patterns seem to be changing and the Ocean levels rising (Shades of Al Gore), those clearing/gathering opportunities seem to be coming less frequently, so get em while they're hot. According to Geologists the beds here on the Central Oregon Coast where raised 20 to 30 feet to their present level around 10 to 12 million years ago.Please note shipping cost as listed is only an estimate , set high so as to encourage folks to Please Wait for an Invoice .
