For your consideration is a New In Box Vintage Stanley No. 71 Open Throat Router Plane. This tool is a 100% genuine original Stanley tool, Made in the USA by: “STANLEY TOOLS, New Britain Conn. Division of STANLEY WORKS” The original box included is the box Stanley packed this tool in when it left the plant. My description is accurate and genuine and my picture’s are taken from the tool you will receive. This tool is from my Grandfather estate. He was a cabinet maker in Mill V all ey CA . Therefore, I know exactly the condition of the tool and how it was stored. It is a large collection so check back often for my new listing’s. Features: - 7-1/2" Long. - Includes 3 (unused & razor sharp) Cutters - 1/4" , 1/2" , V-Shape. Groove on all 4 sides. Graduations are marked on top of cutters. (see pic,) - Nickel Plated Casting's w/ Hardwood Knob's (Handles) painted black. Roger K. Smith has identified this tool as a type 13 because of the position of the logo, the painted knob's, the casting and it's made in the USA . This tool was produced between 1945 - 1952. The label on the box is a Type 8. It is the Stanley dark green notched type. The box is yellow/orange paper covering heavy box. Cross hatch embossed finish.
