This is an auction for a B. R. Mishap Controller, enamel painted metal armband and leather strap

This is an item I have been requested to list for auction by a friend who has cleared the attic and found this piece of railway memorabelia. Apparently worn by the member of British Rail who was in charge of the situation when dealing with mishaps. I am no railway enthusiast and simply list this item as honestly as I can.

The armband has been used as is evident by the condition of the leather fastening strap. The strap is dried out and stiff with some surface cracking. It could do with some 'TLC' to restore the condition of the leather. The curved armband plate is in reasonable condition with a few marks around the edge.

The approximate dimensions of the armband plate are:

Width 10cm (4in) Height 7.8cm (3 1/16in) Thickness 0.2cm (1/16in)

The weight of the item is 76g.

The item comes from a non-smoking and pet free household.

Shipping cost within the UK is £2.70 by Royal Mail Second Class. This includes the postage, packing, handling charge and Royal Mail's basic insurance cover up to £46.00.
