Offered today from my personal collection of antique knives is a very rare old Bradford Boston Corn knife with light blond/yellowish bone (?) handles. Could be a rarer material from the animal kingdom in Africa though! The handle material is age faded somewhat & dirty & I was able to clean off some of the junk with a fingernail after I took photos, so with some elbow grease the handles should clean up better. Actually, I just did clean up the handles & they look much better. They are complete with just some tiny cracks at bottom end on both sides. Blade is a corn blade and in pretty good shape considering the age! It has long pull and shows sharpening & some scratches, and it is marked at tang in a slant BRADFORD over BOSTON. Hard to see the "ON" from BOSTON as it is under the handle but I believe that is what it says. Blade has slight opening snap and decent closing snap too! I looked in several knife books and could not find this maker, so must have been a small firm that did not stay open long. It is well made though, & I date it to the mid 1800`s, say about 1865 up to about 1880 or so! A very neat rare old knife from a hard to find maker, so don`t miss out! Bidding starts at a very reasonable $9.99 and shipping by regular airmail, no insurance, to the USA will be just $6.00($5.00 shipping + $1.00 padded envelope). I will combine
