SELLING OFF 15 YEARS OF MY BELOVED TREASURES!! WITH VERY LOW OPENING BIDS Â... IÂ've been collecting antiques since I was 17 years old. I had older friends, aunts, etc. that were doing it Â... so I caught the bug early! I recently got divorced, moved into an apartment a 1/3 of the size of my house, and HAVE to sell lots and lots of goodies. When I started this process, I had set aside many items I had no intention of selling. But, as the days went by, I came to the realization that itÂ's time for me to acquire some Â"newÂ" old things! And I can really use the money right now too! Â... so IÂ'm selling it all!! Be sure to check my other items Â... as I always combine on shipping to save you a little cash whenever possible. This will go on for months Â... so keep checking back! I will do my best to describe each and every item to the best of my ability. I am no expert by any means Â... but have been collecting certain items for 15 years Â... and have learned as much as I can about them. All items are sold as-is. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding. $39.99 opening bid ... NO RESERVE!! This is a great old *RARE* pair of Bradley & Hubbard Bookends. They show a little boy, wearing a page boy cap, with his hands in his pockets, and a pipe in his mouth. He stands in front of a fence on a black platform. The fence and platform are made of a white metal, I'm not sure what? Same goes for the little boy himself ... spelter metal / pot metal ... I just don't know. What I do know is these are nice solid pieces ~ weighing 3 lbs. each!! They stand 7" tall x 6-1/2" across x 2-1/2" deep. They are excellent estate condition, with no real flaws to point out, with the exception of the chips in the black paint on the platforms (see pics). One of the boys is a little "looser" than the other ... but still tightly attached to the base. A really wonderful pair ... a great addition for any collector ... a *RARE* Bradly & Hubbard set!! ! This is a NO RESERVE auction ... starting at a very reasonable opening price ! Note added 4/13/08 ~ I just received an email from an eBayer asking if one of the pipes was bent. I had never noticed before, but after checking, he was indeed correct. One of the pipes is bent a tad to the right on one of the bookends. You can best see this on picture #6 below. I offer three different shipping methods ... Priority Mail, Parcel Post and UPS Ground. The amount shown at the top is for Priority Mail. Please click on the "more services" link for alternate shipping methods. I accept PayPal and Money Orders (sorry ~ no personal checks). I have a full-time job, so I typically only make it to the Post Office twice a week ~ usually Wednesday and Saturday. If you need something quickly Â... just shoot me off an email and let me know.
