SPECTACULAR HANDMADE COPPER AND BRASS TEA/COFFEE SET SERRURIER-BOVY MANUFACTURER H.POMMIER - BRUXELLES Belgium ca. 1910 DESIGNER: Attributed to Gustav Serrurier-Bovy, born in Lüttich in 1858. The design of this set was realised in 1910 in Antwerpen, Belgium. Gustav Serrurier-Bovy was the most important Art Nouveau artist of Belgium after Henry van der Velde. DESCRIPTION This oustanding handmade tea/coffee set is a truely beautiful piece of early twentieth century metalwork. The copper reflects a unique and dazzling light that combines wonderfully with the brass handles and edgings. The spout of the large pot as well as the acorn-shaped lid decorations, are also made of brass. An exceptional four-piece set that could still be brought to use without losing its antique charm. CONDITION Considering the age of the set, it is in very good condition. T are some noticeable signs of use and a few minor dents.
