Purchased at a recent estate auction, this set of expandable brass bookends is a real beauty, featuring greek or roman style columns flanking a panel featuring a relief of a woman (goddess?) holding a tablet underneath an owl design with the roof over her head being an open book with markers pooling at her feet. Also features the Alpha and Omega symbols at the bottoms of each column. Expands from 8.5" to 15" and stands 4.5+" tall and nearly 5" wide.Please e-mail with any questions at as I'm no expert and all sales are final.
