beautiful old clawfooted fireplace skirt with matching brass handled implements and a brand new never used cast iron broilaster grate by the majestic co. of huntington indiana.the skirt measures 40"long by 10"deep by 10" tall.the skirt is brass designed with a leaf pattern in it's center and alternating circles and diamonds on the top and bottom.the implements are brass handled with cast shafts.there is a brush,shovel,poker and tongs with a cast and brass stand.the unusual grate is 13"tall and 6"wide.i believe the grate is used to cook near the fire. you put your steak or 2 chicken halves in it and set it close to your fire,you use the long handle to turn the meat around to finish cooking it.a really nice holiday gift idea for anyone who has a fireplace.
