All Brass HO Scale Royal Prussian Railway Gattung D III Class (0-4-0T) Steam Locomotive Model from Micro Metakit. A magnificent and extremely hard to find HO scale brass model of Royal Prussian Railway's Gattung D III class (0-4-0T) steam locomotive. The prototype (real life loco) was a tank type steam engine built in 1873 for KPEV (Royal Prussian Railway Administration). This superb limited edition model was manufactured and hand assembled in 1994 by the master craftsmen of Micro-Metakit in Germany. Only 120 models were made and this is #28 . Micro-Metakit is known worldwide as the premier manufacturer of museum quality scale brass models, they are generally considered the Rolls Royce of scale models. While it measures only 3.5 inches in length it is by far the most impressive diminutive steam loco ever made in HO scale brass. With solid construction and superior workmanship it is also beautifully factory painted in dark olive green with red underbody as engine #1453. In addition, it has full cab interior and glazed cab windows plus interior detail inside the smokebox. Powered by a quality Fulhaber coreless can motor and runs super smooth like a Swiss watch.
