Brass, Stainless Steel or Iron Bound Nettles White Oak Stirrups. Made in Rick Brightwell's Bit&Spur Shop. Pictured are my "Jailhouse" 3 Banded Stirrups (one pair of the "JailHouse" are Iron Bound and one pictured pair are Brass Bound) made on a Nettles 3 1/2" White Oak Blank and a pair of my 5" Bell Bottoms. The strap bolt is covered with a concha and I use a stainless steel acorn nut on the strap bolt. I use a 20 Ga. thick metal on the bands on my "Jailhouse" stirrups. This insures the bands will not get caught and pulled loose. I build my stirrups one pair at a time like those available in the late 1800's and the early 1900's using copper rivets and a heavy gage of metal. They will give your saddle that old time look. No imported stirrup blanks used I TRY TO KEEP THE MOST COMMON SIZES AND STYLES OF NETTLES BLANKS ON HAND, IF I DO NOT HAVE THE SIZE AND STYLE ON HAND I CAN USUALLY HAVE THEM IN ABOUT A WEEK. PLEASE UNDERSTAND IT MAY TAKE UP TO 2 WEEKS FOR ME TO GET THE STIRRUPS TO YOU. IF YOU DO THE BUY IT NOW OPTION I WILL ADD A WRAPPED WEAR LEATHER ON THE BOLT STRAP AND THE FOOT TREAD FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WINNING BIDDER GETS CHOICE OF ONE PAIR OF STIRRUPS I build stirrups in Bell Bottom's, Visalias, Moran's, Oxbows, My Jailhouse Banded Stirrups in tread widths up to 6" in Nettles regular or overshoe blanks.
