Overland Models ,Inc. New York Central Class 19000 Wood Sheathed Caboose Prototype Notes: The New Yotk Central had a large fleet of wood cabooses. These cabooses lasted well into the diesel age. I remember phographing such a 19000 series caboose on the branch out of Kingston New Yoirk in the late 1950s. Some of these caboose had the wood sheathing covered with plywood as this model depicts. A few were painted in the red and gray Pacemaker scheme for use on the Pacemaker high speed merchandise freight.
