UP FOR AUCTION This is a contemporary glass & brass pickle castor from the early to mid 1990's. It's in gently used condition & has a clear diamond point pattern insert with a smoothly ground bottom edge, which sits tightly inside of a brass frame. T are no chips, cracks or flea bites on the insert. The tongs are attached to the frame with a chain & the ends are shaped like hands. When not in use, they rest on a little side hook. The frame is 13½" tall. The glass insert is 3¾" tall & measures 3" wide across the center top. The brass has developed a patina & t are a few very light scuffs & scratches on it. A small area, which looks like it might be oxidation, has formed on one area of the lid. It's about 2/16" long & pointed out in photo 6. It isn't as visible as it appears in the close-up. I had to turn it to the light in order to get a photo of it. On the bottom of the brass holder, w the insert sits, t's a ¼" area, on the lip, which is slightly out of round. It's not a full fledged dent it's just a bit out of round. It does not prevent the insert from fitting into the holder. The flaws aren't distracting & they don't detract from the
