This is an interesting bag-shaped vessel in fairly fine-gauge brass. Around the upper body male busts alternate with animals...goats, a camel, a bovine...The men are all fully bewhiskered, and wearing different styles of tall headgear, the animals all look a little raggedy...flowering bushes in the background, with a floral band above and below.. 14cm. high, 15.5cm. wide at mouth, some 25cm. across at girth. Slightly rounded base. I am told that items in this distinctive style are from Persia.....very much "folk-art"... Good condition. Probably later 19th to early 20th century..
