THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT "LESTER BREININGER" FOLK ART SGRAFFITOED PATIOTIC REDWARE PITCHER APPROXIMATELY - 5 1/2" height", from lip to edge at mouth's edge is 4 3/4", & bottom diameter is 3 5/8". PA "GENERAL WASHINGTONS HEADQUARTERS" PITCHER which is quite unique. This piece reads "Washingtons Crossing the Delaware" - "New Jersey" - "Battle of Trenton 1776" - "Washington's Encompment Winter 1777-78" - "Valley Forge" - "Schuylkill River" - "Norristown" - "Battle of Germantown, Oct. 3, 1777" and trees! Rich traditional (a little darker yellow shade) with the green daubing background glaze and sgraffito desige with "blue showing the Schuylkill River" brown, some black (White areas are from the flash of the camera). EXCELLENT CONDITION. (while trying to take extra pictures I accidently nicked the one side of the lip of the pitcher with my camera about 1/8" x 1/8 (that is the only chip - my luck)! No CRACKS.
