Bresser Messier AR-127S/635 EXOS-1/EQ4 Refractor TelescopeThis is an opportunity to buy an "as new" two element, achromatic refractor telescope on an equatorial mount which includes all the components and accessories that normally come with the new scope. (NB: The "Quick Start Instructions" manual was missing when I received it so I have downloaded the English version from the Bresser website).Advertised for more than £900 on this website and £737 elsewhere, this short focal length telescope provides large and bright fields of view, allowing star-fields such as the Andromeda galaxy (2 million light years away) and spectacular nebulae to be seen. Moreover, its large aperture means that nebulae filters can be used on this scope, which significantly enhance visibility and contrast when observing the sky at night. In addition, the "special super achromatic construction" of the lenses in the optical tube means that despite the refractor's fast aperture ratio of f/5, the Bresser AR-127S is able to deliver imagery with high colour fidelity and contrast when compared to other two-lensed telescopes.
