Vet Bills, divorce, and now being laid-off from the housing industry bust has forced me to sell some the most precious members of my Breyer herd. is Othello, The Black Shire. Limited to only 2500 pieces and sculpted by Kathleen Moody. Breyer # 8127, Limited Edition, 2001 only. Fine Porcelain 12" x 7". He is gorgeous and flawless. One can see the gentleness in his eyes, and he has such a kissable pink snip. He comes with his box and original packaging. FREE FED EX SHIPPING !!! Moritz and Othello are the prize stallions of my Breyer collection, but I must sadly part with them. They have been kept in their boxes all these years, only taken out to admire and for one last photo before they go to a new home. The box reads: "Impressive in stature, great in heart, Shires carried jousting knights and soldiers in Medieval times. But they were more than war horses. Celtic Kings bred them to insure their people's survival. They were the stout carriage horses needed to deliver drayage from the waterfront over unpaved city roads to deep in the moors. Othello is an outstanding example of the breed. He is exhibiting a powerful stride, poised as if in harness or awaiting a battle cry. His mane and tail cascade like a waterfall from his head and haunches. Feathers on his legs echo the cadence of each great hoof. Portraying such a grand animal in fine bisque porcelain, sculptor Kathleen Moody combines power and poetry. This hand painted sculpture represents a truly heroic figure."
