This item is a beautiful "1:9 scale model of Seattle Slew #474", part of the Traditional collection . Purchased as a yearling by a group of friends for a mere $17,500, Seattle Slew became the 10th horse, and the only undefeated horse, to ever win horse racing's prestigious Triple Crown in 1977. The dark bay colt then went on to become one of the leading sires of the late 20th century, and part of an elite group of Kentucky Derby winning sires that have sired a Kentucky Derby winner. This is a beautiful model horse which is new, comes from a smoke free retail store, includes a blanket of roses (shown above), and has never been removed from the original packaging.
