You are bidding on this beautiful original Hope cedar Chest,Circa 1946.Walnut wood,burl walnut and inlay front and cedar lining inside.In excellent condition ready to be used.Original medium walnut satin finish.Serial number on bottom reads:3545 .Water fall scallop-edge design top with dust proof lid .Front,sides of lid and bottom of the chest are constructed with burl walnut wood ,Geometrical mix woods front in excellent condition.Hidden drawer on base.Walnut satin finish.Water fall style top .For safety reasons this hope chest has no lock.A new lock can be order with new key from758.It shows small marks due to use and age,please see close up pictures for details.To comply with Ebay regulations the lid does not lock.When in use the side hinges will allow to leave top lid open .A very nice cut out base with grooved legs.Measurements are 23"h.19"d.47"L.
