Up for auction is an old Mexican lobby card for the 1960 movie “Brides of Dracula.” This 1960s serious, cult , sci fi classic masterpiece stars Peter Cushing, Freda Jackson, Yvonne Monlaur, and David Peel, and Martita Hunt. The movie is a Hammer production made in 1960. Classic Hammer for the die-hard Hammer fans! Owning this card will make your friends jealous! As we all know, Hammer films are a cut above the rest. We are not sure when the actual card was printed, but it is old. T are NO ripples or oddities in color, both signs of cheap reproductions. The card was stacked flat with hundreds of other lobby cards for very many years (between 30 and 50 years). This photographic image features actor Peter Cushing. This card is in very good condition. It is a bit worn around the edges. That’s it! It is slightly cream colored, due to its age. As all Mexican lobby cards, the artwork is wonderful. The lobby card retains its beautiful vibrant color (black, white, and orange). It measures 15 3/4 x 12 1/2 inches. What is great about movie lobby cards—compared to movie posters—is that they are compact; easily and cheaply frame-able; affordable; and small enough to hang on a wall without overpowering wall space. They make a very good investment too, since lobby cards are slowing becoming extinct because of videos being used to advertise movies. This piece of movie memorabilia is a definitely a must-have. Folks, this lobby card is classic B-movie horror made in the 1960s—a time when some of the best horror was made. And this is British-horror: a notch above. So grab it while it’s still around!
