Offered is a new, never-used, CT-5 Hand Vise from Bridge City Tool Works. This 1997 tool is Commemorative Tool #5 and will never be produced again by BCTW. It comes with the original box and a certificate of authenticity. The tool is number #2744. The tool is in mint condition having only been removed from the box once. The box is rated about a 7 on a 10 point rating scale. T is a small tear on the bottom edge of the box and scuffing on the bottom of the box. This tool has been monogrammed FJS. Per the 2000/2001 Bridge City Tool Catalog: The CT-5 Hand Vise is a visually compelling design, combining accuracy, usefulness, craftsmanship and collectability. Long before "locking pliers" or Vice Gripsâ,,¢, craftspeople relied on small, hand held clamping tools known as pin (or hand) vises. More than likely, due to cost comparisons with the new mass-produced locking pliers, hand vises lost their way and quality versions are no longer being produced. .
