About The Tool The Bridge City Tools BL-9 Bench Level works in plumb, level and 45 degrees, and is accurate to within .001" of the sole -- unheard-of accuracy in a small level! From a solid, 4-lb piece of 360 brass alloy, they fashioned a level housing that negates the traditional problems of warping in a wood-bodied level. The precision vials have a tolerance of 300 seconds on a 2mm scale plus or minus 30 seconds. Soda-lime glass windows, buffered and sealed on each side by "O" rings, protect the plumb and 45-degree vials from typical shop hostilities. The top vial, which reads level, is adjustable. The plumb vial and the 45 degree vial never need adjusting. The sole of the BL-9 has a recess cut out to facilitate leveling pipes and non-flat work. This tool has been discontinued.
