Britains Ltd. Mobile Unit 2-Pounder (40mm) Light Anti-Aircraft Gun #1717 Mobile unit 2-pounder anti-aircraft gun is in EXCELLENT condition, though t is a small chip on one side (see photo) . All parts move freely and the tires are in excellent condition. This set was purchased new in the 1940s. NO REPAINTING OR REPAIR. The set is in such great condition because it has been in a box for the past fifty years. NO BOX. This is a mobile unit 2-pounder (40mm) light anti-aircraft gun – the same as #1715 – mounted on a four-wheeled screw-jack chassis. The jacks lift the wheels off the ground into firing position and also pivot inwards for towing. It is painted in glossy olive drab. The base rotates fully, and the gun can be raised or lowered using the wheel on one side. The four wheels have their original black tires. One side of the base says “BRITAINS LTD LONDON”. Measurements: 4 ½” long William Britain , W. Britain, or simply Britains - These names are synonymous with toy soldiers and collectible military miniatures. Since 1893, W.
