British Army Pay/Service Book AB-64 1916-1919The AB-64 was the British soldier's basic identification and information booklet in World War I and World War II, and was to be carried at all times. We have several diffrerent ones on eBay this week, including a couple of scarce versions, so be sure to check all of our auctions. This one is a standard Great War AB-64, issued in 1916 to a Jewish man who served in the Labour Corps. It has a number of basic entries, but no "exotic" stamps. However, in the front cover pocket t are several additional documents of interest: a note of appreciation for service to this man from the CG Troops Shorncliffe, the man's Certificate of Discharge and Transfer to Reserve (which indicates he also served in both the Royal Fusiliers and the Middlesex Regiment), and his "Protection Certificate and Certificate of Identity. Very good condition, nice group to the same man. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BUYERS PLEASE WAIT UNTIL YOU RECEIVE AN INVOICE BEFORE PAYING FOR YOUR ITEM.
