Auction is for an original British Army Officer's whipcord tunic in the pattern most commonly seen in the early years of the First World War. Tunic is badged for an Army Captain. Liner is stamped "U.G." and "4554".Wool whipcord fabric is in great shape considering the age of the piece. No mothing, several small repairs to fabric of right sleeve and chest (visible in pictures). Epaulets have small repairs, possibly due to removal of insignia. Embroidered pips and cuff embroidery for an Army Captain present and in good condition. Brass belt hooks and all GS buttons present. Tunic is approximately a size 38.Thanks for looking!
